I think everyone's a bit burnt out at the moment, thanks for being open and honest with your creative process! And those snow photos 😍

This cant be more perfectly timed. Today i went out to a walk and i wanted to take some pictures. After 1 hour of walking and literaly getting nothing worth my apreciation, i said "fuck it im going home again". I was so burned out looking for some kind of expectation that i just got mad, and thats sad af. I really need to get out and enjoy coming back with 1 or 2 good pictures and call it. Thanks for this video Willem. c:

Really enjoyed that dialogue about just going out and shooting. Brae did that in his last video when he went out in the rain as well. Sometimes you just gotta switch it up for the creative juice.

I know it isn't your usual style of photography but I absolutely love moody, rainy day photos in your style. You did a great job!

No matter how snowy and cold outside, your pictures always turn out sunny!

Could you make a separate video on how you use flash with your RZ &/or RB67

it's ok to be burnt out, take time for yourself, recharge & get back out there whenever YOU'RE ready. great video willem!

Had one of these days today, light and weather aren't exactly great but i had that itch to go about with my camera. The thing that i really love about photography is, that you never know what you will find. More often than not you'll find something interesting you would've never expected just by going out with your camera.

It is definitely easier to stay inside when the days are shorter and colder. If you do go out though, it makes you take different photos than you are used to doing. Luckily for me, I actually enjoy the peacefulness of shooting night photos in the snow. It's always so quiet! Also those shots where the flash catches the falling snowflakes are so good!

Your "weather conditions that weren't ideal" would suit my aesthetic just fine! Sure it's a pain in the arse to shoot in the rain, but as a Brit I haven't got much choice, and fortunately I love the look it gives; also a decent snowfall is still a rare treat to look forward to here, rather than something to struggle through every day for a couple of months. No doubt I'll get burnt out when summer rolls around, with the long hours of harsh daylight or boring flat grey cloud, and the tediously green trees.

I understand what you’re feeling. I was going through my pictures recently and found that many of them are in good weather conditions and that is boring after a while. So I decided to go out in the snow and rain and shoot some pictures of winter.
Surprised I wasn’t too cold, but I am a veteran and I have learned to stay warm and dry and to most importantly KEEP YOUR GEAR SAFE.

The "wonder" and "art" of taking candid photos on the streets is that even when you might feel uninspired or be stuck in a rut, anything can happen, and before you know it, you have a great photo.

Watching a Willem video is one of the most encouraging things for me to just get out and shoot.

I never thought about how to capture snow/rain in a scene until I saw your flash fire. Mind blown!!!
