The 2023 Hyundai Tucson is available in 10 trim levels: SE, SEL, Hybrid Blue, XRT, N Line, Hybrid SEL Convenience, Limited, Plug-In Hybrid SEL, Hybrid Limited, and Plug-In Hybrid Limited. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional (add $1,400) on all trims.

The conventional 2023 Hyundai Tucson is powered by a 187-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 178 pound-feet of peak torque. These power ratings make it competitive in the compact-crossover category, although on the road its performance is modest at best. The engine drives either the front or all wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid powertrain uses a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine in tandem with an electric motor to drive all four wheels. The combined horsepower for the hybrid system is 226 hp. The Tucson plug-in hybrid uses the same 1.6-liter turbocharged engine paired with a higher-horsepower electric motor. The combination delivers 261 hp.
