I was 6 years old when dear Janis passed away, but my love for her music has only gotten stronger. She was so ahead of her time, she shouldn't have given a damn what anyone thought, but the cruelties of life sometimes win, and self medicating takes the lead. We lost when she left us. She was the Love Of My Life, when my Hippie uncle introduced me to her music as a 15 years old, I was listening to Pearl and wished for an Lp wt her music for my 16th Birthday, as I got‼️She became my obsession where I used to sit in my room singing along wt my Lp's wt her music, and read books about her life‼️I had been drawing JJ on the back of my Diary, half overweighted wt a bottle of Southern Comfort in her hand‼️I sang this song on a Karaoke in the 90s, drunk on Beer and Whisky and the Host loved to hear a woman who used her voice properly, I really took off at the end there‼️Some of her songs have been difficult to listen to for some decades, she triggers so much in others, she's the truth‼️Freedom is just another word for nothing left to loose‼️👍JazzyT.
