As a native New Yorker I can assure you that this project will be one of the most transformative projects in NYC history. With all of the traffic congestion coming into NYC, by rail, the 40 or so minutes that traveling into and out of city towards Long Island is immense.

Arriving by train and coming up to the great hall for the first time is very awe inspiring . Building the new tracks and platforms is like rebuilding a engine through the tailpipe!

I worked at the east side access project…. Truly some amazing engineering. While installing plumbing for the new station I watched them lift and re-support The Helmsley building in the middle of the night. That was years ago but it’s really cool to see the project finally be completed.
