It’s kind of amazing actually. Seems like Intuit watched this video and fixed so many things you spoke about.

Great job, Alexander, bless you. I especially like your reference to "other tax software" at 25:53 - I replayed that 6 times. I've used Lacerte for decades, and I've used the other product you mentioned, ProSystemfx, for the past 4. It does take at lot of time and effort to get used to it, for sure. But once you do, it gets comfortable like that pair of shoes or jeans. I'm actually contemplating switching again - to UltraTax. The problem with switching can really be summed up in one word - depreciation. I have to get a life, lol.

That was so helpful, thank you! Sounds like I’m sticking with what I’ve been using for 10 years with amazing phone support. It has its own warts but at least I know where they all are.

Really enjoy your real life experience, unlike the intuit tutorial, thanks!!

I'm good with the Windows 95 user interface even in 2020. Consistency is a good thing. I don't have to refamiliarize myself with the user interface with each user interface update. Many times I've opened filings for consecutive years side by side, having the user interface the same means I can eyeball the year to year data quickly. Because the user interface doesn't change much, you can more quickly spot changes that are due to tax law revisions rather than a user interface refresh.

I have been a Lacerte Customer for 20 years, I just got off the phone with customer support there and asked for a credit of 105 for a client I inadvertently purchased but did not use or file. They told me NO they would not credit my account and I will have to pay. I waited 30 minutes on the phone to be told NO. Customer service is Substandard and Lacerte -Intuit does not have any loyalty.

I think Proseries is also very user-friendly except some forms availability

The software works, it is clean, it is not complicated with Mickey Mouse junk; you’re way off base.
