Too bad they never sold this model in the U.S.  I had a pre-owned 1990 while I was  in the U.S. Navy, forward deployed in Japan. I drove it around for a few years. It was very dependable,  had LOTS of room, an "inclinometer" which showed the slope of the road you were traveling on; miserly with fuel...it did develop one problem while I owned it - a leaky radiator cap!  THAT WAS IT.  Truly miss that car.
