Jim Henson died 2 days after my 14th birthday. I remember crying like I'd lost a family member. And because of specials like this, and shows like Muppets, Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street, I kinda did. His creations were in my home from the time I was born, on. He had family in every corner of the globe. This clip still makes me cry... just perfect and beautiful.

Disney didn’t even own the Muppets at that time. What if funny is that the word muppet was used in every episodes of the muppet show, but not on any episode of Sesame Street except for the episode where Telly Monster made his debut and he was television addicted.

@MovificationByChan Not necessarily; Jim may have provided the voice and actions of Kermit, but in this case where he appeared in person, another muppeteer could have provided the actions of Kermit in his place. Multiple muppeteers have stood in for the original actors in several cases, just so it wouldn't be a heavy load.

The Muppets, Fraggle Rock, and Sesame Street crossover. Before Disney acquired and owned the Muppets. Disney has gotten out of control with buying and owning things.
