Simulating Human Populations | Using python and pygame

This simulation was fun to make and I find it really enjoyable to watch, in the future I definitely want to add more features such as evolution, war and disease so that we can study much more complex scenarios. I also intend to explain how to use python and pygame to create similar simulations at a later date. Please comment and message me to give me feedback or ask me questions about any of my videos, thanks.

Three things I would do:
- Pause the simulation on start so that you can set out all the factions before the first one starts to spread.
- Generate each new city in the densest area that is furthest from other cities.
- Upload the project to github

I am going to subscribe because I really want to see where you go with this. Ive always been into games like sim city and cities skylines. Seeing this makes me want to try learning to code again. I bought the book "automate the boring stuff with python" and have learned quite a bit about the basics. One thing the book is missing is a section about OOP. I understand how functions and arguments and local vs global variables work. I do sort of understand what the purpose of using a class to structure your code. I'm still trying to wrap my head around inheritance and when and how to properly use it.

Fascinating video! Do you provide the code that you ran to produce these plots anywhere?

Awesome stuff, I've been trying to find more information about how to do this kind of stuff and was wondering if you had any recommended resources for doing population simulation in python, as a first year CS student my knowledge is pretty thin aha
