This is an update on Alysters seizures. I talk about reoccurring headache and what his doctor said they could be caused from, New scary seizure activity (well, possible) and what we are doing for treatment.

I'm so sorry to hear about this new seizure activity. My daughter used to have about 50 tonic clonics a week for 12 years. These are also called grand mals. Her whole body shook, her arms and legs would flail around, and she would scream. She was totally unconscious. Now she has the eye flutter seizures that sound like what you described. Medical marijuana stops them. I think you've made wise informed decisions about your son's treatment. I hope you can get his seizures under control soon.

Thanks for sharing these stories. I have been diagnosed when I was actually 33. People thought that it was just my A.D.D but recently like as of last year I have been getting more of them. But this year it is so out of control. I think I had to be hospitalized 30 days outta how many days we already had. I am getting very depressed by it. I just had to go to the emergency room for one on Tuesday night. I hope that there is actually hope for me 😭😢

What you are describing sounds like myoclonic seizures, especially because he was able to say to you that he felt weird. Myoclonic seizures most often occur in the morning when a person is getting up for the day and having breakfast. Tonic Clonic is a generalized seizure where you lose completely consciousness and begin convulsing. Absence seizures are also generalized.

The new seizure activity you are describing are myoclonic seizures, and occur frequently with absence seizures. My daughter has tonic clonic and absence but not myoclonic, but we are "on the lookout" for them because it's likely she will start having myoclonic too at some point.

Thank you for sharing your story, our family has just learned our 4 year old has been having absence seizers, we knew that she most likely was but it has recently been confirmed by out EEG. We are actually also located in Portland Oregon and I feel that we have very similar stories regarding our children, I also seem to process things similarly to you as I have observed in your vlogs regarding the AS and I am super interested in connecting. I suspect we also may be at the same hospital on the hill although we are just starting to research and find an appointment with a neurologist in the area. I have also joined the FB group you suggested for support and have also posted there. Dear Jessica, I know this is an update about Alyster but I just wanted to tell you that you are a very smart and intuitive person. It is more than obvious that you have a strong mother's instinct, so trust that instinct all the way. And if I may, a side comment: you should finish your college. You should actually study at a university. I understand that money is an issue in U.S.A. regarding education but I just know that if you managed to start you would graduate with honors. actually there an epilepsy that cause by swallow their tooth,
yes there are also severe danger by it, but it because they not know why they offer dead, and always shown at they feel cold to dead, it experience are soo frightening soo they fight it than they attack suddenly and they depressed soo much and they meet and remember it they got seizure. that what happen.
suppose not fight it, no stare contest it..
ask him directly when he shown by pouring water to your feet and when you feel it soo deadly feeling he will shown.
if you need practice use bell like fighting venom, you will distract by the bell sound.
than call again, and ask him question or command him, .do not fight him, .
he is not black people, ok.

Hello I'm Monica and my son has absence seizures. I'm wondering if any of our kids has mentioned seeing shadows when alone if so could u pot something about it. I know having your child say they see things that's not really there is off but do believe them. Please respond someone.
