Word of advice, Beckett, call them when you need help … I have had 3 problems with one order(big headache) and I now have two contacts at Beckett who help me very much, I can easily email them and have their numbers to talk with them.

Also I have honestly been pretty happy with pgx lately and been using them a lot compared to cgc and cbcs

Glad to see you use your platform for this! Their customer service is terrible! Problem is it’s more likely that their interior policies and procedures are a mess than the actual people that have to respond.

I've bern using CBCS since 2017 and never had an issue with the exception of a label correction. I reached out to them via email...mailed them my book that required the label change....they corrected the label and mailed my book back....all without waiting for a customer service response. I put the ball back in their court to fix the issue. Aside from that...no problems at all. CBCS is the best grading company with the best slabs out on the market....by far.

Couldn't agree more about their CS. It's horrible. I didn't renew at the new pricing, and only renewed w/CGC because of the $99 offer they sent me with $150 credit. Problem is, now I'm stuck with CGC cases and CGC problems.

If only a company existed with CBCS quality, consistency, cases and labels...and CGC customer service.

Not that their CS is all that great either.

Agreed! Their customer service doesn’t exist. I’m still trying to sort out an issue from when they closed their Canadian location.

Their customer service is just like you stated, "Dog Shit". I've had the same experience with no responses to my emails. To wait 10-11 months for grading, with no response, "Dog Shit".

I agree. I’m having a lot of problems. Only one person at CBCS responds in a timely fashion. I will probably stop sending in books.

Hmm I was thinking about cracking my signed cgc slabs and going with them for the yellow label. Idk anymore.

The lack of the amount should tell you that fatigue has set in

They at one time had great CS when they were still in Florida. Don't know what happened during their Texas transition but they completely fell off. They completely destroyed my signed copy of Shazam 1, tore my book. It went from a 8.0 to a 4.0 and they never acknowledged their mistake and had a few books misgraded.I used to be a big supporter of CBCS, but now, No way! Not after that debacle, and don't get me started with CGC who also is a mess.

I have sent books to both CGC and CBCS and you are correct. CBCS is beyond crap at Customer Service. They used to have a better Customer Service, when it was done from their office in Texas. However a few years ago they sent it offshore and it has been garbage since. CGC has its issues for sure. But I know I can reach them and speak to a live person who knows ANYTHING!. I will only be sending signature verification to CBCS and one book at a time until they get the S-Show cleaned up. I know there was covid and they moved offices....but seriously. I cannot trust a company that doesn't acknowledge what is going on. CGC for all their faults, is aware of their issues and actively works to improve. CGC keep up with the positive trends on improvement. CBCS - you need to decide if you really want to be considered a legit contender.

This is this is precisely why I will never send my books in to be graded to any company. Unfortunately this means I'm stuck with a whole bunch of raw Comics I'll never be able to dump

There was 2 price increases this year everything went up once after Steve left and express went up a 2nd time not too long after that

To say it’s only express so it doesn’t matter is a huge deal it took 10 months to grade modern books submitted last November now I feel priced out if I want to get them back quicker

They still don’t have the magazine size slabs they raised their witness fee from $5 to $20 which feels unnecessary cause it’s now almost $100 to fast track a signed modern book

But you’re right their customer service doesn’t exist whoever shipped out my books put the wrong address on the shipping label and I had to fight with FedEx because they don’t come back the same day like UPS if it failed to deliver so I missed the delivery twice and there’s nobody to call at CBCS to contact FedEx and say hey fix this

Well u can’t charge a big price I just looked it’s 200 per book and for that service like come on id be pissed off with all of that and even damage I’d be expecting them to find the same comic with the same grade and then grade it free of charge

I agree, i sent in 4 different subs over the last 2 years with CBCS . Never again, and customer service is why. "Utter Dog Shit" you are 100% correct.

I think all these controversies turn people off to comics. It turns the hobby into bean counting. It was more fun in the old days when a good and experienced comic dealer with a good eye would. tell you in 5 minutes what condition your book was.
