Thousands of Australians march in Melbourne to fight for a landmark Indigenous rights reform before the October 14 referendum. Tens of thousands joined "Walk for Yes" events in major cities ahead of the vote that could grant Indigenous Australians a constitutionally enshrined right to be consulted on policies that affect them -- a so-called Voice.

Yes voters… you need to checkout NZ and what’s been done there under the last Labor PM unifying that nation.

I keep hearing this is the first step but they said that at the apology. Must be following John Farnhams theme of repeating the same theme. So when treaty comes it will be the first step and then when truth telling comes it will be the first step, no wonder we never move forwards with reconciliation if we can’t get past the first step 😂😂😂😂

This Referendum is amazing chance to recognise the oldest continuous living culture in the world in the Australian Constitution.

In all their chants they should have included some that asked for an Audit of "where have all the billion$ gone, tell us now" and for the so-called Voice, "where is the detail....where is the detail"

Strange that so few Indigenous, working-class Aussies turned out for this. Maybe they understand the reality: this is a means for a few Indigenous elites to benefit with well-paid careers, whilst the majority will still be brutally exploited.
