Don’t you need a diode in parallel with the motor to prevent back voltage

is there a reason why you switched the motor on lowside (between the motor and ground) in your circuit?

why did you choose a 5V 4A? would 5V 2A also work? im just wondering what the highest and safest amount of amps this motor could use without it overheating or draining its life expectancy.
