I traveled to Sapporo, the prefectural capital of Hokkaido, Japan. This trip was initially planned so that we could visit the Sapporo Snow Festival 2020, but we ended up experiencing so much more - especially Sapporo's surreal winter scenery ❄️

In this vlog, I hope to show you some things to do/places to visit/eat in Sapporo (not only in winter, but throughout the whole year). I hope you enjoy this vlog as much as I enjoyed editing it! 💖

I miss the place. I spent ten days there last February arriving on the very day the Odori Park Snofes site opened. Before going there I booked an icebreaker cruise In mombetsu plus the Sounkyo Ice Festival, a trip to Asahiyama Zoo/Shirogane Blue Pond/Shirahige Waterfall, the tv tower, Lake Shikotsu Illumination festival and a day tour that included Mt Moiwa, the Olympic facilities and Ramen Yokocho.

I flew home the day before Valentine’s Day. Viewing this still makes me cry at how quiet the scenery was... esp since the pandemic was not yet in full swing.
