Concerning how tragic the story was, I love that when she’s talking to Yanquing, you can noticeably see her light up and Regain some of that happiness that she lost long ago. Out of everything that went wrong at the end of her life, Jing Yuan turned out to be the one person who never let her down. And now witnessing his apprentice and seeing the same level of passion that her old apprentice had when he was younger, definitely seems to warm her cold exterior just enough for it to seep through.
