The problem with all these batons is that they are electric only at the tip, so a defender can't really electrocute when clubbing

One area to look at is the battery connection nipple on the flashlight stun portion mine came slightly bent to the side and I'm wondering if that was the the start of the issue

Which way does the batteries go in ? It doesn’t show the direction of the batteries

do the sparks always come out of both sides? or sometimes just one side only when testing?

So i got mine thru a online company.
1st one arrived and out-of-the-box would not work correctly I was able to return this one and got the replacement in about a 2 weeks and this one work for about 2 weeks and no longer is working correctly I contacted the company again and they made it seem like it was my issue so be careful of who you buy these from seems a lot of them come out of the box not working correctly I'm guessing I probably should have just went through Amazon that way returns would have been through Amazon my last contact with the company was money loss lesson learned
