The Darrin was a brilliant experiment that could hopefully improve Kaiser's sales numbers. It used a fiberglass body and Henry J chassis which made for manufacturing complicationi when a storm destoryed many bodies waiting for assembly. This is the first example I have seen that seems to have a steel top, and it appears to be very nicely styled. Later, Darrin put V8's into the supply of unfinished bodies and made this car a real runner.
The Divco Milk truck is emblematic of the door to door merchants that were so endemic to the decades from the 30's through the 60's.

I remember these trucks, the 'silver box' by the garage service door and the milk and cream being left in glass bottles with cardboard lids. Our milkman could have worked at Texico too with his white outfit, cap and black bow tie. I also remember going to the 'mom and pop' grocery a few blocks from the house with big brother where people in the area had a 'charge a plate' account to leave a list that would be delivered later in the day and list kids left the store with a Popsicle in summer and hot chocolate in the winter.

Nice Kaiser Darrin! I don't remember ever actually seeing on of them in person. On the Divco, i sure remember those!
