I guess it all depends on who is raising their hand ahead of you. if it's your area manager, you would potentially be outshining the master which is another of the 48 laws. "never outshine the master".

Well, there’s some bullshit to that. I often got hate and alienation for knowing, for going the extra mile, for doing the right thing. Nothing but hate and bullshit and then if your better than your piers and they know it they try to take you out…. it’s easy for a person sitting at the top, God knows what he did and how many stepped on and betrayed to get there, to say this is good, but his is right, this will bring you value. All the while setting most up for failure….

In the military there is something called the 10% rule. 10% of the people get 100% of the work done. And this is very true! And do you know where society KEEPS that 10%???? Right where they are because if they arnt there the work never gets done or isn’t done efficiently. This is the fact. So why would they promote the guy or gall who gets it done….. This is my life experience, in multiple jobs in multiple places around the world!
