In this tutorial, let us learn How to find merged cells in Excel.

You might be knowing that there are few drawbacks with the excel merging cells.
Like you can’t sort and you will be facing problems in applying array formulas, pivot tables etc.

So, in this tutorial let us see how to tackle the merged cells in Excel.

Let us consider an example like this, with data from B4:C14.

Now, if you try to sort this data, you will get an error like this.

Way to resolve this is to find the merged cells and unmerge them.

If your data set is huge, it would be difficult for you to identify and unmerge them.
