When you are a Registered apprentice you work for an employer, who is a Registered sponsor with the Delaware Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship and Training.

As a Registered Apprentice, you are paid while you learn your chosen occupation.

You will learn on the job under a skilled mentor (or Journeyperson) as well as attending related instruction.
Program lengths vary by occupation and range from 1-4 years. Most programs are 4 years making Apprenticeship the other 4-year degree.

At the completion of your program, you will earn a Journey person’s Certificate proving your advanced skill level.

Some perks of Registered Apprenticeship are:
• Wage increases throughout your program
• Tuition-free school
