1 Year and 8 Months Spanish Speaking Progress - Progreso en español durante 1 año y 8 meses

I've been learning Spanish now for a year and 8 months. I will continue to document my Spanish progress for the next year or so to see where my Spanish level ends. As always, any corrections are greatly appreciated.

Hi Mike, your Spanish gets better everytime, I like it when you correct yourself it's a good indicator that you've really learned a lot. En mi país tenemos un recorrido turístico bastante amplio, el lugar más conocido es Macchu Picchu, te recomiendo ir allí y a las líneas de Nazca, por ejemplo. Además dicen que nuestra comida es buena: ceviche, lomo saltado, causa rellena, carapulcra, rocoto relleno, el juane, el arroz de mariscos, etc, ), probaría también un trago especial que se llama Pisco Sour. Lo felicito, habla muy bien y con el tiempo va a pulir el idioma. Yo estoy tratando de aprender alemán por mi cuenta y es muy pero muy complejo, pero avanzo cada día. Estudié inglés y me demostré a mi mismo que sí podía aprender otro idioma, y fue una gran motivación.

Qué bueno hablas Mike. Mi mejor amigo de universidad jugaba al tenis y golf. Ademas, estudiaba contabilidad, todas cosas de que no sé nada... Yo, , fui a la universidad con una beca de futbol americano, o sea, de futbol de nuestro pais. Yo creo que tú tienes un don con el español. No hablaba así después de un año. Creo que es muy buena idea ayudar a la gente aprender ingles, eso va a ayudarte mucho también. Antes me gustaba mucho viajar, aun hoy en dia pero puedo admitir que me gusta cada vez menos volar. Yo también, casi siempre he viajo solito. No hay nada mås interesante para mi que llegar en un pais solo, y puedo volver del viaje sin problemas serios. Did I hear you mention that you teach math. Man, I have so much respect for people who are good in math. I'm absolutely terrible in Math. I substitute taught middle school for many years after returning to the states and math is one subject I refused to sub for, not fair to the students or me. I sent your link to a friend of mine who is having serious issues trying to learn Spanish. She's 75 which doesn't facilitate things, but she's spent a ton of time in Mexico and uses Babel every day for which I have some issues. Anyway, adelante. Oh, one thing I really like about you is you seem to be a humble person. I see other people like you doing the same thing on Youtube, but IMHO, many of them are too arrogant. Sorry, no time to correct all the Spanish mistakes. Adelante. Me gustaria visitar Peru, un día. Bueno me gustaría visitar un monton de paises aunque he visitado un monton de paises. My parents went to Peru a couple years back and they enjoyed it very much. They especially liked zip lining 😆

I have long legs so I always find it’s easier to fly in the seats with extra leg room. Even if you don’t have long legs like mine, you’ll appreciate the extra leg room. I once flew to London which was 6 hours, stayed for 6 hours doing touristy stuff and went right back home (another 6 hours) The time zones made it a wild trip 😂 I wish I could type this to you in Spanish but I only comprehend Spanish and can’t write it.

Hahaha I dont like flying either, i always have to take a benedryl pill just to relax my nerves. I need to visit my sister in law and nephew in the philipines but that flight is 19hrs soooo.... ugh not sure if I will ever go.
