Track Based Automation vs Part Based Automation In PreSonus Studio One

In this video I demonstrate the main differences between Track Based Automation vs Part Based Automation (a.k.a. Region Based Automation) when working with Instrument tracks in PreSonus Studio One. In addition, I also show a shortcut on how to add Part Based Automation to you Instrument Parts.

i almost exclusively work like this with instrument tracks and since v1 i requested this approach to be extended so that one could work with it on audio events, too.

My biggest gripe with the way this works in S1 is that part-based automation only supports instrument parameters. That is, any FX insert parameters, or even mixer parameters, cannot be automated from within a part the way you show in this video.

There is no shortcut onb keyboard to : Create automation part, but it has remove automation part. Would be nice to have that shortcut tough, like ALT+A creates automation on arrangment page

Hello! My automation doesn't move along with my tracks/region when I move my tracks which leaves the automation out of sync from where I want them. So how do I get my automation to move along to my tracks if I select all and move all my tracks forward (112 tracks) too many tracks with automation other wise I would do it manually

Just found out that it works only with MIDI instruments, If I want to automate an audio FX in the region it won't work :(
