For the mounting, since the connections are not common like they have today. You could just cut french cleats to hang them on the walls. Counter sink your screws to mount the 2 bys and use washers for sure. This way you can get the cleat on the TV, screwed in and set while on the floor. Then to mount you just hang it onto the other 1/2 of the cleat mounted to the wall which you ensure to hit studs in the walls with long screws as well. This is an extremely strong mounting solution.

The screen is touching itself because you lay it on the ground. Mount it up on the wall and it will stop randomly touching things.

The touch screen will have issues laying flat. It’s the same reason you shouldn’t lay TVs flat for transport. The screen flexes

You can't let your touch screen on the ground like that especially a bigger screen it will randomly touch because the layers of the screen are touching. You have to set it up on a wall or not to touch like that

Calipers: measure size of machine screw. Tape measure: measure necessary mounting depth. Hardware store: buy screws and washers to match 😊

If I'm remembering right, that older style of touchscreen uses infrared LEDs and photoreceptors around the bezel. So anything blocking the light (hair, gnat, or cat) will trigger a touch.

Rabbit hold indeed. I just started playing with HA myself. I'm thinking some large tablets around the home would be best. Low power usage being a key feature of going tablet over that giant touchscreen, lol.

When it's accidentally triggering the display is laying on his back flat. Usually displays like that are not meant to run lying flat on their back. The accidental ghost triggering may simply be gravity because of your incorrect usage while the display is on? Put it upright and see if the accidental triggering still happens.
