Another Limbo Nuke. I swear, Limbo's design and abilities is impossible to balance around. Somehow, he always finds a way to break the game. Again. And Again. And Again. No matter what DE does, he always finds a way.

This particular Limbo build may not use a completely novel strat, because it's already been tried and true a few times in the past. But what makes it unique is what Limbo brings to the table. And what the Helminth System allows. The unique combination of Limbo's traits makes you completely invincible on this loadout. It is physically impossible to die as long as you use your abilities right, because you will never take damage. The only exception are Acolytes that might disable your abilities or pull you out of rift. Or Stalker. But who cares about Stalker.

This simple synergy relies only on Limbo's innate kit, a Rapier, and a Kubrow. Because the only hard requirement besides the frame is specifically a Rapier, you are free to use this build as a normal melee loadout as well, blinding enemies and hopping in and out of the rift to slice them up to your heart's desire. It fits pretty well with meta playstyles during the downtime between the nuke rotations.

Keep in mind that with Radial Blind, you are free to use this as a normal Primer+Melee build too and hop in and out of the Rift as much as you want.
You can easily fit the meta melee playstyle in between the nuke rotations.
You could even just ignore the nuke and just kill things as normal, and just "accidentally" trigger it along the way to wipe the room too.
Basically, I showcased the nuke setup, but the build is open to much more than that and doesn't restrict your playstyle.

As a Limbo main I knew about this. Don't like to use it tho. I remember when contagion and vitrica could ignore the rift mechanic, tesla nervos nuking infested with cataclysm, when thermal sunder costed no energy inside the rift, and so many others. I love the frame, but those interactions are not for me. I'll still give it a like because I admire your work.

Honestly this is pretty sick imo. I'm new to the game comparative to a veteran player like this dude, but I've been into it for over a year now. I have a couple endgame builds up my sleeve but I haven't really used the mecha set for anything before and it seems like a cool way to make the whole "just chillin in rift" more engaging. Kinda like a space bounty hunter who dips in and out of reality as his victims are arbitrarily chosen before him. Also I'm sure this whole setup is the oldest trick in the book from how he talks, but I didn't know about the inner workings of this - like the rapier and mecha set bonus and stuff. I've been using saviour decoy & rolling guard on my limbo when I bring him out for defensive missions so I can have a bubble up but still be active outside it, I never even thought about radial blind. I enjoy limbo despite knowing he's always been problematically broken - I mean, the game IS a power fantasy catered to people who want to break the game over their knee like this, why does that have to be a bad thing?

I thought this was going to be about Thermal Sunder affecting enemies outside the Rift, so you can do damage and crowd control with that from inside the rift. It's kind of hilarious how often Limbo breaks things, lol. I mean, not terribly surprising given the nature of his abilities and how strange the interactions are...

Being a HUGE Limbo fan, of course I had to try this out, and I wasn't disappointed. Took me several weeeks to put everything together, as I was also working on collecting all shards for him. Shards that would benefit both this aggressive take AND the more subtle supportive "Mobile Defense" kind of build. Well, I got everything in place now. But I gotta say, Aznvasions, that I have dropped the "Natural Talent" mod from your suggestion and swapped it for "Redirection" instead, because Limbo DOES NEED to keep coming in and out of Rift in order to find new victims, and having an extra layer of shields does help while he's left exposed out in the open. The Casting Speed can be topped with 2 Amber Shards, alongside 3 red ones for extra ability duration. Yes 3, because "Well of Life" does not last very long and you are forced to search for new victims every time. I found it that having extra duration helps keeping ONE single enemy rifted for a minute, which makes life easier for camping.

I've been looking for a reason to use Limbo (and also a reason to keep my Destreza), something that relied heavily on his rift, and this has inspired me. Much appreciated!

I noticed that replacing Umbral Intensify with the normal version, Limbo doesn't need to use a single Forma. Excellent.

Would be nice if limbo's rift was more obvious. Sometimes i can't tell at a glance if im in the rift or not so i just often die, or the stupid portal is created and when i want to be out of the rift it brings me back in again.

Maybe this isn't a build for everyone, as you mention, but I could use this (or variations) to finish out the Steel Path star chart solo. Some nodes just don't have anyone playing them and some almost require more than 1 player (interception/defense/etc.). Limbo is perfect for spy and rescue missions without an over the top build already.

Another (slightly less) brain dead scaling build?

Marker for death trinity.

Proc lots of viral- then cast marker for death followed by trinity's 2.

Her 2 does %health damage as true damage.

Viral increases that, and marked for death takes the final number and multiplies it.

The result?

A scaling room nuke.

Use tons of strength and the abating link augment. For aura use combat discipline and for arcanes use avenger.

Combat discipline will proc avenger. Blessing is for reseting shield gate, and at a high enough strength abating link strips 100% of enemy armor.


The build allows you to easily take out single targets, and if there's a "full room" you can just MfD + EV to wipe them out.

I like the Mecha set on Nezha and Concentrated Arrow Ivara.
Nezhas Warding Halo can greatly benefit from Mecha Pulse (+60% armor per enemy within 30m of Marked Target). So I use Ensnare + Punch Through high Fire rate Convectrix. You dont even need to seek out the marked target, just ensnare and start shooting on head height. KPS is good enough that you dont even need to use life support.

I used the invisible (Stalk) dog for Mecha set. Did all that stuff invisible, used Naramon Dash to open up finishers, and kept breach surge for the crazy death seeking chain damage in between w/Rift Torrent. Also, using Banish after Rift Surge is on an enemy appears to remove the Rift Surge, so I kept the bubble for a little more control and visibility. Btw, this Mecha kill deletes Acolytes w/o even directly hitting them, lol. I recommend bringing the invisible dog for ease of play and a Rapier Zaw to take advantage of Exodia Contagion for the time in between marks (boom boom)... Did all that with a No Forma build, lol. Rift Torrent is insane in SP MOT. So many enemy.
