I want to share my experience.
I am currently 20 years old and suffered NEC 3 days after birth and thank God and the surgeons here. Right now I am without any problem. At first they said that I probably wouldn't survive but the next day a miracle happened.
As for the sequelae, by genetics I have a thin and tall family, although I am 20 years old and I measure 1.83CM, I weigh 56.5Kg (Quite low in general) Perhaps it is due to a long-term NEC sequel that does not really bother me.
As for a short-term sequel, it was the damage to my nerves in the visual muscles (Squint) which at first was quite large, now it is only very slight after 2 surgeries.
Regarding bowel movements, at first I did up to 3 times a day, but now with luck I do 2 times a day.
I know that the survival rate for this condition is quite low, I feel bad to think that many babies just days old leave so suddenly. Strength to those little angels and their families.

Miracles exist, even that night when they broke the news to my mother that I probably wouldn't survive, she took me to the church where the priest blessed me to go to heaven.
The rest is history.

My newborn premature (35 weeks pregnancy weeks) niece (was born healthy 2, 2kg, no breathing problem) but suddenly just died because of NEC, just 4 days life. she started to have breathing problem at night of 2nd day.. then 3rd day, her stomach got really big and bluish.. then 4rth day she is gone.. her doctor gave her blood tranfussion and antibiotics.. I don't know if those treatment was right or not.. because my sister and her baby are living in small city in Asia and hospital is not so good for premature baby and also because corona pandemic, it's not easy to find better hospital.. The problem is I didn't know the blood tranfusion can make NEC more worse.. how come? and how to avoid NEC and to do the treatment? it was very quick happening to my niece.. in just 4 days.. very quick and doctors there don't know what to do.. unfortunately.

Nobody is in their right mind would feed their baby cow's milk, you should encourage breast feeding, not saying that feeding a baby with cows milk is OK How a bout saying something in your video that is USEFUL You never mentioned BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS usually packed cells is a death sentence for some babies.
