I hope that the Inflation Reduction Act reduces inflation, but I wonder how what amounts to more Keynesian fiscal stimulus on a net basis can reduce inflation. The name of the Act is unintentionally amusing as it so obviously politically motivated. In effect, the people are not happy with our party, we have to do something, anything! And let's give it a name aimed at their chief worry. Has the average IQ in the USA sunk so very, very low?
