In this video I show how to convert your 4-pin flat trailer connector to a round 7-pin trailer connector. My vehicle only has a built-in round 7-pin, so I would have to use an adapter to run the lights from the 4-pin. I decided to just buy a replacement 7-pin connector from Amazon, cut off the 4-pin, add a little more length to the wires, and wire the round 7-pin connector.

Hey there. Thanks for posting this. Did you happen to have grounding issues with the original harbor freight harness as well? I tried the pre-made adapters but still having issues with the connection. I may try this method.

Why did you cut off the long wires and then splice new back on?

Is there a normal video for non home made weird color coding wires interface. The colors used here make no sense besides green and yellow
