Addiction is often associated with automatisms. These are patterns and processes that have become hard-wired into the brain over time. Breaking through these is often very difficult. Psychophysiological studies have shown that the frequency of 40 Hz causes focused arousal, which is associated with the process of learning. Training with 40 Hz can thus help to build up and promote new thought and behavior patterns. In addition, researchers found that neuron networks located in different areas of the brain synchronize their cooperation with 40 Hz. This was so strange. I was tired and foggy and thought I would give it a go. After listening for 15 minutes. I felt awake and my mind cleared. Need less to say going to keep this one on my playlist speed dial. Excellent!

I have what may seem like a bizarre question but here goes….. I just started listening to binaural beats about a month ago because I can’t stand the influence everyday music has over me. But I’m a musician and obsessed with sounds. If I’m not mistaken, certain hertz break down barriers within the mind and make one more susceptible and open to change and learning new things. Well I think I experienced some form of self-hypnosis last night while listening to this video. I listened for 2 hours straight while repeating in my mind a sort of mantra I had just created at that moment. Saying, ‘I don’t need it, I don’t want it.’ Over and over again the whole time. When I stopped and went outside to have a cigarette I couldn’t even get a tiny puff without coughing terribly and painfully and that made me nauseous. And it was not due to the smoking. I had a smoke 30 mins prior to listening and didn’t cough. Of course after a while I was back to smoking again. Is there any truth in what I’m experiencing or feeling or am I just connecting dots that really aren’t there? My imagination? I’m new to all of this and I don’t know exactly what I’m doing I just know it’s making me feel better and like I’m on to something special….. Thoughts?
