👉 Learn how to evaluate the six trigonometric functions given a right triangle. A right triangle is a triangle with 90 degrees as one of its angles. A right triangle is made up of two legs, which formed the sides of the 90 degrees angle and the hypothenuse.

When the side lengths of a right triangle is known, we can use the SOHCAHTOA principle to evaluate the trigonometric functions of any of the other angles of the right triangle. When one of the side lengths of the right triangle is unknown, we can use the Pythagoras' theorem to evaluate the unknown side before evaluating the trigonometric functions.
