I still remember the feeling of getting to episode 14 and being almost too sad to watch it, because I knew it was the last one and I had completely fallen in love. 

And this tune... I never skipped it. Not once. And I _always_ skip the titles.

No doubt, the biggest blunder of a network in the history of man. Firefly was a fantastic show with plenty of room to grow, great casting and characters, its own special niche in a genre that needed something fresh. This show could've been huge, multiple seasons... I'm just sad that we get 14 episodes and a film....

The instruments used in this song are a perfect microcosm of Joss Whedon’s firefly universe. Hear me out; The steel slide guitar, mandolin and fiddle are so rustic, organic and country. Touched with the crisp distorted electric guitar on the oscillator that brings crisp modernity into the mix. And the orchestral melody tying it all together with elegance and mystique

if I had to say one positive side to how there isn't more of firefly, is that at least what we have, will always be good, will always have a place in every heart that has heard of this verse, it may not be the shiniest, nor the most expansive, but every fan can agree, it was wonderful, to the last, whereas nowadays we have star wars imploding, star trek with it, and even spilling out into non sci-fi marvel turned into a dumpster fire, but that's ok, cause they can't take the sky from us, we'll always be free, since we've found Serenity.
