Our local store here in Canada put up a list yesterday and they really got shorted. Most titles they only got 1 copy! I'm hoping to get the Minus 5 and Garbage releases.

I was able to pick up the STP Purple album along with Joni Mitchell, Jerry Garcia Band, The Greatful Dead and Max Roach.

I'm really hoping to pick up the Ramones also. It is priced much higher here in the UK. About 40 bucks which is pretty ridiculous for a single Lp.
But my main concern is a few local record shops have said they are struggling to get copies in because of Warner Bros. Not sure if they aren't supplying local stores which is bonkers

Luckily, I didn’t have to camp out nearly as early as you do, but I did still get up early - 5am - so I could make sure I had a good shot at getting the Better Than Ezra. I’m glad I did, because being fifth in line, I grabbed the only copy my store got. I wanted this Grape colored pressing, and even though it’s an RSD First, it’s been my experience that while Real Gone Music is known for doing represses, they often end up costing just a bit more than the original RSD (or other) pressings they put out did. That in mind, it was another reason to try and get this version, now, plus I had some store credit which helped bring the price down. While the price was high, it was still cheaper than trying to track a copy of the 2018 pressing the band self released (currently selling for over $200), and even that was $40 initially, plus like $7 or $8 in shipping, so it was only like $7 more than it would have cost me to get it then.

I also got the STP, and the two people behind me got the only other copies that were available. The only other title I was initially on the fence about was the U2 album, which I listened to on Spotify on the way to the record store. What I heard was enough to convince me to buy it. The one I wasn’t worried about getting now was The Ramones, as being that Rhino is releasing it, I can pretty much guarantee that they will re-release it again (as they have done with most of the band’s catalog), so I know I’ll be able to get a copy down the road, and I didn’t care if I got it on Red vinyl.

My daughter is getting up early to grab the Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish. I'm focusing on the jazz titles this year. Will grab the Bill Evans since I really enjoyed last year's Live in Denmark RSD release, and the Max Roach if I can get it. Sahib's Jazz Party is my long shot, but it's so limited I don't have a lot of hope for that one.

I will not drive the 360 km's to a record store but I will try to grab 4 titles on Saturday. The U2 as you said, the Billie Eilish upfront vocal version of her latest album which I really like, the Santana 12" single and the Phil Collins 10" live disc. If I am in the Christmas mood I may grab the Christopher Cross xmas album.

I’m not very confident I’ll get what I want, I don’t want to wait in line early, plus at another record store, I got the entry time of 11:30 from the lottery, one of the last time slots before open to public.

The prices are obscene this year. You can get OG 1st presses of Ramones and Saints for the same price now!

Been a buyer of the vinyl format for a decade now, i don't have a single RSD title in my collection.

I look at the list every year and ive wanted a few but never wanted them enough to bother i guess.

I’d like to pick up The Ramones Greatest Hits too but as a single LP it will have 10 songs on each side for 20 tracks total on only one LP so I worry that the sound quality may not be that good. I don’t know.
