Israel-Hamas War: Devastation in Gaza After Israeli Airstrike

Rescue teams in Gaza searched for survivors following intense Israeli airstrikes as the war between Israel and Hamas enters its 20th day.

The war is the deadliest of five Gaza wars for both sides.

The Gaza Health Ministry says more than 7,000 Palestinians have been killed in the war — a figure that includes the disputed toll from an explosion at a hospital. That is more than three times the number of Palestinians killed in the six-week-long Gaza war in 2014. The ministry's toll includes more than 2,700 minors and more than 1,500 women.

The Health Ministry in Hamas-ruled Gaza said Wednesday that more than 750 people were killed over the past 24 hours, higher than the 704 killed the previous day. The Associated Press couldn't independently verify the death toll, and the ministry doesn't distinguish between civilians and combatants.

The fighting has killed more than 1,400 people in Israel, mostly civilians slain during the initial Hamas attack, according to the Israeli government. Hamas also holds at least 224 hostages in Gaza, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

Let's see. Jesus spoke of Israel 2000 yrs ago, In the Quran, Allah said to give Israel to the Jews, move ahead to the 1940's, Israel is reinstated, many conflicts later, Palestinians bargain with Israel to live in the westbank promising peaceful existence, then Palestine elects a known terrorist organization hamas to represent them, hamas makes good on their threats against Israel with murders and hostage taking, starts a war, Palestine then condones the actions of Hamas and harbors them under schools and hospitals, Palestine now cries foul for war showing up at their door.
