I swear Kid brings out the worst in Law and Luffy. Like Luffy and Law never act this competitive with each other unless Kid is around.

Honestly that sequence of Luffy, Law and Kid destroying the ship is one of the best animated scenes in One Piece.
I’m getting chills thinking what Chapter 1000 animated will look like

They didn’t have to go so hard for a scene so minor, but I’m glad they did.

Just for whatever who is interested in the people that made this sequence and other great scenes during the episode. I first mention the key animators from this sequence and then others from other noticiable cuts of the episode and after that other people that contributed to make this specific episode so good production wise.

- All since Law moved the ship until Luffy appears was made by Msamai Mori.
- All first Luffy sequence (until G4 transforamtion is completed) was Shu Sugita.
- From now on and without counting the final bit where the tree land from the sky Luffy was animated by Takeshi Maenami Law by Isuta Meister and Kid by Tetsuro Nireki.
- The explosion was handled by Takashi Hashimoto
- Finally the quick animation with the trio falling from the sky and landing was made by Hiromi Ishigami.

Other animators that made good animated sequences throught the episode were:
- Sota Shigetsugu who did Ussopp and Zoro action scenes + the three Zou mosqueteers combined attack (except for the canon fire wich was done by Masahiro Kitazaki).
- Sute did Bepo and the other two Law crew memebers action scene that end up with a nice explosion.
- Denjiro cutting the ship was done by Akira Matsui who also handled the Nami attack with Zeus.
- The rest of that section of the straw hats vs the smile users, Sanji and Robin attacks, the smile users throwing the bomb to the sunny, Franky and Luffy in that part were animated by Yoshikazu Tomita.
- The scene with Luffy and Kid launching themselves to the enemy ships was done by Akiko Suguizono.


- Shuichi Ito and Midori Matsuda (character designer for the Wano arc) did the animation supervision of the episode (make sure that the art looks good an on model with the oroginal designs).

- Kohei Kureta was the director and storyboarder of the episode.

- Hayate Tokita the animation producer of One Piece was who asembled this all star team list of animators from across the industry for the episode.

When the Wano arc ends I’m gonna need a full high quality compilation of every fight and the best animated scenes we’ve gotten in the whole arc

I did not expect Mr. Hashimoto, an ultra super legend within the industry, to be part of this One Piece episode’s production staff let alone One Piece. He commonly took part in One Piece films as effects supervisor or director but very very rarely in episodes so I was shocked lol

Shuu was my highlight of the episode, that crazy animator is all about insane camera work, amazing character acting and lots of crazy effects/smears

This whole scene can literally be the opening for a one piece episode, that's how amazing the animation was🤩
Also, never have I ever felt more sorry for a ship in my life😭
