What Are The Best Wood Jointers to Buy?

If you have been looking for a good quality jointer lately, then you’re in luck!

Basically, a jointer is used to make one plane of wood flat. It is ideally used to straighten a specific face of a plank. A planer, on the other hand, is used to straighten/flatten the whole plank with an equal thickness on both sides.

If you are mostly looking for a tool that will only straighten one side, and need a perfectly straight wood face on only one plane, then the jointer is ideal for the job. This is a great tool if you are buying rough-sawn lumber on the cheap and straightening only one edge of it.

*Love the size and weight of this little jointer **MyBest.Tools** Easy to set up and light enough to pick up and put away. The adjusters and controls are dead easy to use. It has an aluminum deck rather than iron, but for those who are careful it should suffice, and it has a vacuum port that, unlike some other tools I have, actually gathers ALL the dust. Very happy with this for the price.*

I can believe the woman bent down that close to the knives (0:42) with not using the guard and that much blades exposed to her loose clothing. looking for a diaster.

You went from a price range of $300 to $2, 500 very quickly. Nothing entry level about those expensive models.
