Hey man I just got mine yesterday and liking so far. I got it in good faith that OnePlus will continue to push out updates to the camera software with one already scheduled sometime this month/early June. I already tested out the RAW briefly and the flexibility and detail from the 48mp is really there. The Pro mode is one of the more enjoyable ones to use as well in my opinion.

Thanks for the great video. You did a wonderful job of explaining why, in my opinion, the camera sucks. I watched another reviewers SECOND camera video, and he just slobbered over how great his pictures were without explaining anything about why the camera took such cartoonish photos. After several years of YouTube, you, Michael Fisher, and Lisa from Tech Review are my most trusted reviewers. You guys actually inform, not just run on with some gimmick or act as a mouth piece for companies. Could name names, but I wouldn't want him to cry all over his gray Tesla!

Fantastic review man, I picked up my OnePlus 7 pro on Friday and you have nailed this review hands down. I can't disagree with anything you said, especially about how the selfie camera could be improved...again, I also don't take many selfies so it's not a huge deal to me, it does it well enough for people like you and I.

The phone is amazingly fast, hardware wise BTW..including the shutter speed of the camera, I've been very impressed with it so far (coming from first iPhone X and then the LG V40 thinQ)

You're the first tech reviewer I've ever subbed to and I plan to watch more!

Great review, I love the phone, purchased it last Tuesday and its been great to use, also battery life has improved since the first day of use, I can get through entire day of use with no worries. I am very happy with the camera quality as well, I've been walking NYC taking photos and testing out different lighting situations.

I don't love the camera. Blurry-ish shots. Soft images. Seems washed out. Focus is meh.

But that's just me. Using it side by side with my Xs...meh.

well...an actually balanced assessment of the 7pro camera. instead of "this isn't as good as the pixel 3a so it's utter crap! oneplus is a failure!" you made it known there are areas where the camera software needs improvement and highlighted areas where it actually does well. don't know what they can do about the ultrawide shot being what it is and I heard from someone saying they don't have plans to add ultrawide video, but we'll see.

Hey Danny! Great camera test video as usual! I would appreciate, if you could also upload the photos you show in your video on some kind of cloud (OneDrive or so on) so one can really see the true image quality especially for images from the main camera (48MP). It just doesn't give the full pixels in the video...

Where is this DXO firmware and will we know when we have it? My ass does is score DXO 111, Ive compared shots with my Note 9 and its hit and miss!

Oneplus is looking into adding functions for video shooting. Wide angle for the Video option wasn't ready for the phone release.

Great review. But if you compare the redmi note 7 pro or realme x with the oneplus 7 pro you'll also find it's extremely close. They all have the same sensor and realme has very similar design and image processing due to shared technology and resources. Therefore you can get very similar image Quality for 1\3 of the price if camera is your main focus. Would like to see you show this type of review in the future
