Funny thing, I was aware of most of the different brands and types of pliers and had ran across most of them in my lifetime. But, It never dawned on me how many different ones there were until I saw your collection. Brings back lots of memories of tools I lost, had stolen or just let get away.

Howdy. My Grand Dad used to say, " If ya just gotta take it all apart, even when ya don't need to, maybe ya otta seek professional help" I don't have any Gripso tools, now I gotta find some, Enjoyed the video....Thanks

Those gripso pliers are very cool. I wish they made a model like that for electrical connectors, all that leverage would be great. I have had several viewers tell me about 805roadkings nickle plating episodes, but i havent gotten around to watching them yet. Thanks for sharing. Cheers

Glad you suggested not to take them apart. Im still working on a few of mine and didnt want to screw up the preening. I knew i wouldnt be able to match the original. Thanks Scout, as always, I appreciate your work.

I have many old brass flash lights circa 1920s with the nickel pealing. Thank you for another fine presentation.

Man, oh Man...& some people think I drink too much STRONG COFFEE!!! John you might wanna try slippin in a cup of decaf or Cocoa now and then to stay warm. Ha Ha Ha. LOVE the eyes. Found you from Engels Coach Shop where he showed off that BEAUTIFUL Diamond Tool wrench you sent him. I've wanted to get one for myself for a long time & Thanks to you I will highlight it like yours, but in International Harvester Red. Love your channel, I finally found someone who loves tools maybe even more than me. Best Wishes & keep doing what you do, I'm already hooked!!!

Love the Gripso pliers, a style not seen here in the UK. I have a set of parallel jawed water pump pliers (Channellock style) and will be filing the teeth, great tip and a great video (as always).

Another great video buddy. Man I have an old military footlocker loaded with my grandfathers old tools. Every time I look at it I think of you.

Your idea about grinding down the teeth is outstanding... I have a pair of the gripso pliers and will do the same thing and through them in my bag to use. Love your videos !!!

The compound leverage Gripso pliers were originally made by Proto and P&C. Proto owned P&C after 1941. I own 2 pairs of the Proto brand and 1 pair of the P&C brand. The ALLOY ARTIFACTS website has pictures and history of over 4, 000 tools. My Proto pliers have two different styles of if grip patterns on the handles. My P&C brand has handles that match one of the Proto pliers. Keep up the good work.

Great Job!! Great Pliers! You talk about not taking things apart when you don't have to! LOL! That's a lesson I eventually learned😁 When I was a kid working on bicycles, I can remember taking every spoke out of a bike wheel to individually polish them just to put them back in the polished wheel! That was juvenile OCD at it's best!! Everything, compunded, polished and buffed by hand! I am no longer that crazy!
