Riding a Chairlift in a Sit Ski

How I ride a chairlift in a sit ski is one of the most common questions I get asked when I'm riding the slopes. I use a Tessier scarver sit ski. So, when I was having trouble with my offloads, I approached Tessier for help. Tessier recommend that the offload is done at the same speed as the load. I always ask for a slow down because it gives my support person, me, and the lifties enough time to load and offload. Tessier also sell pegs that can be attached to the outriggers to help with pushing down on the snow and against the chair for the off load. I don't use these, but some of you might want to explore them.

There are other chairlift load and offload methods, but I use this method because I find it safer, more gentle, and uses less energy than propelling off at speed. Every sit skier and every sit ski is different. if you're an adaptive skiier and you prefer another method, I'd love to hear about it, please comment or contact me by email.

Really good video explaining this and the relevant aspects!
I'm a design student and whilst looking at ski lifts and their ergonomic aspects I wondered how this would work. So yeah, cheers
