1. Think about The redeeming qualities about that person
2. Understand the circumstances a personal message not to excuse it, but rather to understand

In my Christian Bible study today a man asserted that forgiveness is unique to Christianity. I knew better but wanted to hear a direct teaching on the matter from Islam. Thank you for your teaching.
Perhaps Christianity differs in extending forgiveness to those who do not seek it, but I suspect this distinction to would vanish upon closer investigation. Forgiveness in those circumstances does not mean full reconciliation or trust it simply means you do not seek retribution.

I was born in Chicago in 1942, and I love living in Queretaro, where i moved in 2021 at 79. Safer and 70%
less expensive, and all utilities included in my apartment and internet, maid and security. plenty of groceries delivered. Local friends see that I get takeout or anything I want. I am blessed. Over 60 years of coming to Acapulco etc.

Let go and let God.

Forgiveness would be easy when we have reach into the point that what we face is a lie.
