As a full time big game guide in New Mexico, we as a state need to put restoration efforts into our deer like we do our elk. We absolutely could be the best "trophy state" in the west. Our bulls are 2nd to none. Our goats are the biggest in the west. Our deer are being out competed by the elk, and over predation from the lions!

You should do top 5 states to hunt Antelope and do a white tail

this is just my opinion but Montana is also a really good state to find some nice monsters. I also think Idaho should get a spot up there, but that’s just my opinion

I agree with Colorado in the #1 position, I live in NM and have been to all of the top 5 hunting, and omg, by far, have I seen the biggest mules in Colorado.

Quite a few of them in Northen Nevada, they arr the first thing I started to hunt.

Fun little idea that most don't know about is Washington state and Oregon State not a bunch of mule deer come out of there but quite a few beasts do

My uncle got a 13 point mulie in New mexico. It was a great place for mule deer hunting

Im from utah and maybe it different depending on the area you hunt but where I go its usally just older 4 points or young 2 or 3 points and they always are on the smaller end, idaho shouldve been in there instead I can remember seeing my first mule in idaho and just being amazed by how much larger it was

I feel like Arizona and New Mexico should have been over Colorado, and maybe Wyoming but it’s tougher to decide. Also I’ve never been to Utah, and this is just an opinion. Underrated states western Nebraska and western South Dakota seen nice deer in both never hunted mule deer in either though.
