Tree Management - Stripping, Pollarding and Coppicing
Показать описание
Outside of country estates, most woodlands and trees were managed by farmers and foresters to provide timber and food for stock, etc. Stripping was the removal of all side branches every few years as food, pollarding produced longer living trees as markers, etc and coppicing gave a supply of timber for fences, tool handles, walking sticks, etc.
