Is there a way to do this without using a control-shift-enter method?

I had a similar situation and I used a helper column that had an aggregate formula that ignored hidden cells. It either returned a 1 or a 0 depending on whether the cell was visible or not. I then did an xlookup that looked for both the value I needed & 1. It seems to work, but I'd prefer to not have the helper column. I can do it the way you show, but I also don't want people to accidentally break the formula by not realizing it's control-shift-enter
