This superb melody “forever young” appeared in my life precisely in the youthful years of my existence. Today, at sixty-four years of age, hearing it evokes an indescribable nostalgia in me. It was the time of the best music that any generation could have. having known, heard, composed or sung, the years of the 80s, past times when so many things changed in the world, an example of this is the fall of one of the most perverse references than the authoritarian egocentrism of man could have created the disastrous Berlin Wall, among others. What incomparable times, this melody became one of the good examples that will be forever recorded in the papyrus of thoughts and memories, thanks to all those good groups and singers for having given us this and many other beautiful compositions.

Fizeram parte de minha história iniciaca em 1985 quando ouvo Alphavile pela primeira vez, no rádio. Choro de saudades destes anos mágicos. Inesqueciveis. Vivi a mágica da música dos anos 70 e 80 e nunca houve nada igual esta época. Ouvia no rádio, gravava em fitas K7 e ouvia naqueles gravadores grandes, com 2 decks...e escutava radio dia e noite, trocando emisoras para ouvie as musicas que gostava. Se pudesse, voltava para os anos 80 e nunca mais sairia de lá. Foi e época em que fui mais feliz na minha vida, sem estas tecnologias de hoje, que afastam as pessoas e as tornam zumbis solitários. Naquela época as coisas eram simples, haviam brincadeiras que não existem mais hoje...só ficou a saudade.

Bought their CD to get the original versions of these songs, which I fell in love with way back when they first came out many, many years ago! It's 2024 now and I an 63, it's a shame we all get old, the lead singer doesn't look anything like he did when he was young, neither do I and, we both put on alot of weight; but, he still has a fantastic voice!!! The 80's was the very best era for music in always will be!!! :)

You know the best part about this man's vocals? The enunciation of the words. I've always been completely in love with the way the words he sings sounds so perfectly enunciated! It's beautiful. I always wait for "... drop the bomb or not." And he still sounds exactly the same like forty some years later. Lovely.

Incredible that he not just still have that voice, but he also has a lot of energy and it’s clear that he really really likes to sing!
I’m turning 50 this summer and I remember when I was a little kid and was involved in our class disco parties when these songs were new. We had performances were we pretended that the desks were synths and we used the projectors as stage lights.
I loved that!
