Well, I did not know Cat wrote this song or heard him sing it before until now.. So Rod made the song famous but either way, Cat collects the Royalties.

Thanks for this. Been a Cat Stevens fan from the start and never knew this was his song, nor have I ever heard it. Very cool version. His version must've got buried in his other hits, which is a shame. What's not a shame is the money he's made over the years from songwriting credits from the likes of Rod The Mod, Sheryl Crow, P P Arnold, etc. Cat was one helluva a writer, for sure.

I had a legit argument with a friend that thought this was aCheryl Crowe original.Well ..I’m a Gemini so I had to prove them wrong .I played Bryan Adams versions ..then Rod Steward… then I took out the big guns .I dropped Cat on them! After all that ..he’s still in awe!
