Push. Push to the edges of the regs and as far into the margins as you can get. This is F1.

At least Lewis is being real here. The Mclaren boys just taking their PR teams stance to try push maximum penalties so they can try win the drivers championship.

I thought that was an extremely fair and unbitchy comment by Lewis..Nice one that man!

Show me 1 team in F1 history that has never cheated or went beyond "the grey area" just to look innovative.

its just like how Mercedes had the DAS system with their steering wheel front alignment adjustment a few years ago.. Push the regulations to the limits until its not allowed. That's F1.

Push the rules and on the track, F1 isn't constant.

McLarens illegal Flexi Wings with Mini DRS: we review that next year. Redbulls Bib Device: rules are changed instantly.

Lewis is such a mature amazing person. F1 have been fortunate to have him and Abu Dhabi will remain a stain on F1 forever.

I was never really a LH fan. But it's actually funny that I've become a fan of him since the 2021 Abu Dhabi race. I wanted Max to beat him that season, but not the way it happened. However, the way he handled that situation with utmost grace and maturity, only true champions can do that.

exactly, just innovate and go far with it, ofcourse within in the rule book, atleast hamilton isnt like going on about it

I believe the difference is that one is taking the rules to their absolute limits. But changing a car setup between parc ferme and race is very much cheating. DAS and Flex wings didn't break parc ferme rules and they introduced rules afterwards to make those parts illegal but they were never actually illegal.

If it isn´t in the no no section of the rule book... It is allowed... simple as that...

I agree with this viewpoint but RB’s reputation for innovation has, more recently, been overtaken by their reputation for running to the FIA about other’s advantages. This means they should expect to be challenged also.

Perfect answer and the truth. I think people have a bigger issue with Red Bull doing this because no single person has done more finger pointing and more accusing teams of rules violations than Christian Horner.

you read the rules once to see what they say
you read the rules a second time to see what they dont say
you design your car around what they dont say

Love this reaction from Lewis. My respect for him increased a few notches. I’m not a fan, but his maturity, perseverence and grit during these past few years have been impressive.

Am I missing something. There are 10 teams on the grid, everyone can adjust the height of the tea tray. 9 from out side the car and one from inside. RedBull have theirs under the drivers feet and it can't be moved once the foot peddles are in place. Surely it would be easier to adjust from outside like the teams complaining about RedBull can do?
Above every car there is FIA CCTV watching what and when teams do things, RedBull have had this devise inside the car for 3 years and no body seemed to care!
Keep pushing the limits and you stand a chance of winning. Max's fist lap in qualifying was 1.5 seconds faster than last year. So was every other driver, that is F1 at its best!

Many are applauding LH’s maturity. Not saying he isn’t, but he had his fair share with the W11’s DAS.
