🤔 Why are some of the face blurred in these Mock Interviews?
Participants in Mock Interviews are either current Product Managers or aspiring Product Managers. Each interviewee decides whether they want their face blurred for the video - I believe that this also allows us to have a more candid interaction and feedback session without the pressure of having their face in a Youtube video.

What do you think of this Mock Interview?

I liked this interview because it seems to show a candidate who hasn't spent a lot of time prepping for the format of these specific interview questions, and could use some improvement. A lot of videos interview a PM at or formerly at a FAANG company and expect you to just "get it". This interview helps us understand what kind of structure is expected and includes suggestions to get from where the candidate is now to where we should be when we start interviewing. It would be great to know a little more about the candidate. What's their background? College student, recent grad, junior PM, transitioning from a different role, etc. When was the last time they interviewed formally? How long have they spent prepping so far? Example titles: "Improve Zillow - Mock interview w/ a recent grad who has just started the interview prep process" or "Improve Zillow - Interview with a junior PM looking to improve their interviewing skills" or "Improve Zillow - Interview with a PM who is out of practice". By getting more context you can set expectations in advance of how the interview is going to go, and we can relate more to the candidate. I expected this to be like every other mock interview where the candidate gives a solid answer with a few improvement tips, and after having seen enough of those type of videos, I may have glossed over this one.

Please show interviewers giving hard time to candidates. Real life is always like that. People constantly interupting candidates thought process. Making some snide remarks. Please keep these videos coming.

This is a very good example of a proper case based interview. I really like the text that you attached in the video to help take notes while watching it.
Also, I am interested in knowing how PMs can use data available from analytics tools (Ex. Google analytics) to base their decisions & how one should structure that answer. How does one identify the important numbers to focus on & present an intelligent solution. If there is a structure or approach to that, please do share.
Cheers!

Improved virtual reality definitely helps here to save the main pain point (time cost of visiting, the frustration of making offer). If Zillow could provide an appointment-based agent walkthrough using remote VR to show the properties, and meanwhile provide more information about the background (that info only agent can access), and store and archive that information for an individual home buyer in the journey. More comparable features that help buyers to compare and differentiate different visited properties. I think the finance side is too wide for Zillow to step in, so improving the home-visiting experience using technology is more promising. One thing Zillow needs to improve is to prioritize and filter (personalize) user concerns, such as maintenance fee, association finance health, school district, crime rate, nearby facilities. Also, if a visitor could simulate typical trip experience (by car, by foot) from the visited house to several main interest points (work office, school, grocery store, park) and show a virtual / real video summarizing the average time taken, main views, that would be great.
