Today, I expose the cold realities of wage slavery and reveal why so many of us feel trapped in meaningless jobs. Are we really lazy, or have we been conditioned to accept work that only benefits the wealthy? I dissect the corporate lies that keep us stuck, challenge the myth that hard work leads to freedom, and break down the historical truth about labor. Join me as I explore the hidden forces shaping our lives—and how we can break free.

When I was young, we were poor, but after years and years of hard work, I am no longer young.

When someone inevitably asks me what my "dream job" is, I now answer with, "I do not dream of work." They usually laugh, but I am 100% serious.

I was told, "work HARD and you will be rewarded".

Yeah rewarded with MORE hard work.

I was a teacher for 30 years. The last 10 years of teaching I had to sleep all Saturday, so I could have enough energy to get up and do it again for another week. It was making my sick and exhausted. Now, I am retired and off of medications and not sick.

Whoever says we will be lost and bored without the grind has never had to work the grind!

The 40-hour workweek isn’t a sign of productivity, it’s a sign of exploitation

I'm a Tile guy and today a 94 yr old woman that is sharp as a tack told me I am an artist. Tile is hard work but the personal satisfaction of doing good work and getting compliments like that make up for it!
The trades will become more valuable in the future as technology replaces us. I feel like it will be awhile before they can make a robot to replace a skilled tradesman!

I enjoy reading, exercising, taking walks, listening to music, and doing jigsaw puzzles. However, I would hate all of them if I were forced to do them for 40 hours per week for the rest of my life under the threat of starvation and homelessness.

It’s never 40 hours. It’s getting up, getting ready, driving. Then when coming home (driving), decompressing, and scrambling to take care of life’s other things. Like 50 hours.

I'm unemployed, poor, free. I will probably leave the city soon. It can implode without me. I can't be a part of a society with so much oppression, from poverty, to cops, fake politicians, courts, food, prisons, slavery.

School was where my dreams went to die. Curiosity, individuality and creativity were almost entirely crushed. Learnt early on that I didn't want that.

It’s tiring having to care a great deal about something that barely cares about you.

I don't necessarily hate my job; however, the thought that some manager can discard me and turn my life upside down at the drop of a hat motivates me to work hard on my own business.

I have been labeled as lazy by my younger co workers and my supervisors. I have worked for the same company 20 years but I have reached a point in my life where I have zero debt my home is paid off and I do not have car payments. I refuse to work overtime and put in 125 percent at my job. My life is important. Work is not a main focus any more. I have lessened my job dependency. They see it and they envy the fact I’m not so deep into the rat race.

This is a great message and very important video! I have been saying all this for 20 years, also never understanding how so many people just accept “the way that it is.”
I would also like to add to this in relation, the level of sleep deprivation that so many humans walk around with on a daily basis. We have to operate within the machine-like time grid of the workplace, rather than living at the pace of nature. Due to this type of schedule most people don’t get enough sleep.
