Hi, good review thanks for that. I recently bought a One R and also the lens guards. Before that I had a X2 but that one broke of twice during gravel rides. I mostly use the camera on a selfiestick which is mounted on my handlebar. I think the form factor of the R is better suited for this purpose. I'm stil looking for the best mounting option though, any suggestions? It's not just about filming myself but also others during rides.

Ditch the lens guard all together and get the Freewell ND Filters which doubles as a lens guard as well.

Just dropped my insta from a flimsy table and and I guess it’s better to have a bit degraded image than having a scratch on your lens, will definitely buy this.

I just placed my order, can't wait to get my hands on them. I am buying it as I read a lot of online comments about ppl regretting not buying it after dropping it accidentally and damaged it. If i understand it correctly, as long as the camera is not directly facing the sun, i should have less to worry about the stitching issue caused by the lens guard?

The lens guards + the needed case to mount them cost just as much as a diving case, isn't it a wiser purchase to just get the diving case?

My GoPro Max has nice bag to put camera in it. Where can I buy such little bag for my Insta360? When I go taking videos I usually take both cameras so I need 2 bags 😂 those bags are very good protection for lenses.

Cons:
• it does degrade your pictures, video. Almost enough to not want to use it.
.
• catches glare really bad. As you can see in the pictures, the glare will catch on one lens and not the other, making for a half blurry or different color tone on one side of the picture.
•catches a lot of dust.
•sometimes difficult to take off.
•does not work with the extended battery because it requires the frame connect to.
•you lose slightly more picture when you stitch out the black lens guard.

Pros:
•Protects your lens. This is the most important bullet point. Because damaged lens = no camera.
•easy to install

Great review! Honestly, you have one of the best 360 camera reviews on Youtube because you talk about the bad side of cameras. The big 360 YouTubers (probably shouldn't name them) seem to completely ignore any issue with the camera and just focus on spec. I'm planning to invest in a 360 camera but is really torn between Max, One R, and Qoocam 8K. Do you think Qoocam will fix their issues any time soon? And what do you recommend from your experience?

So I’ve been testing these lens guards out and I’m interested to know if anyone else has bought them for their One R or is thinking about it? Also something to note when clicking the ‘stitch for lens guards’ option in the phone app it seems to stop the ‘chromatic calibration’ being applied. Doesn’t happen when you do the same thing on the desktop studio software, not sure why?

From me absolutely no recommendation for lens guard. It just ruins the video! Android app of Insta360 couldn't completely remove a black line. I may upload soon an example video. GoPro Max lens guard didn't effect the video almost at all but insta360 lens guards are useless my opinion. Putting on und removing them is terrible as well. I love insta360 one r 360 mode but without those lens guard 😘👍😂
