Had my saw stop fire off by me being dumb. Cutting thick narrow stock and the blade was just breaking thru the top with the blade all the way up. Well the blade next to the table was back about 3 or 4 inches from the tip of the blade which I could see and the tip of my thumb just got nicked and it fired off. Scared the snot out of me as it sounds like a shotgun when it energizes. Thought I had an inch or more before I would use a push stick.Never even left a mark on my thumb. Best investment ever for this old man. Thank you for all your videos

Finally a good video. Only took like 10 tries before this. Thank you!!!! Had all the info I needed. Specifically the distance from blade to cartridge. Thanks again.

Can you use a regular 8" blade with the dado cartridge?

Hey Brandon. You said you had to tighten the adjustment all the way for your blade. How does that allow for a 6" or 8" dado stack?

If you wanted to, could you just leave the regular blade cartridge on the saw, install a dado stack and then put put the saw on bypass? I know you wouldn't have the protection but it would save a lot of time.
