he came to the U.S., he changed his pitching form because of the possibility of being exposed to the pitching pattern. As a result, he was hit in the opening game in Korea. So this time, he returned to the Japanese set-position pitching form, and as a result, he made a comeback. He is all right now. This is the usual Yamamoto.

It's been a while since I've seen so many hitters just shake their head in frustration

Stable, Accurate and 95+mph fast ball.
Lots of potential

Yoshi somehow throwing 95 with that smooth, simple motion is fun to watch

As a japasene Buffaloes fan I didn’t worried even after his last game. I knew he never makes the same mistake twice. I really hope he has successful seasons in MLB.

This is Yoshinobu Yamamoto's original pitching form. 💪

Yamamoto is to Good (some criticized his first start) Every player struggles in their first game, I remember Pedro Martinez struggled in his very first game also, and a couple of seasons he struggled but he became a great pitcher later on.

It was an absolute gem of watching this guy tonight. Season is young but with how good Glasgow miller and now Yamamoto have looked, we might have a trio of aces for the next 5 years

Yamamoto's poor performance at the Seoul game was because of the change in his pitching form, which was advised by the pitching coach. After returning to LA, he changed the form back to his own, helping him restore his natural strength!!!

I'm embarrassed that I said Yamamoto couldn't adapt to MLB after watching the last game. I wonder how many times I'll be embarrassed from now on. The best start for the best guy!

It is very sickening to see hate-comments saying that Ohtani is overrated. He is a human being. At this moment, it is even strange that he is mentally okay and playing on the field after being betrayed by an interpreter he trusted for so many years. I believe that in the future he will make plays like Yamamoto did today that will silence the anti's.

If it wasn’t for the rain, Yoshi would’ve gone far longer than 5 innings.

We wanted to give him the win tonight. Yoshinobu was amazing. Let's go, Dodgers.

It's only a matter of time before he throws a complete game in the 9th inning.

Not about Yamamoto, but at 1:18 Mookie's throw is awesome. Crazy how he plants his back foot *as* he gets the ball so he can throw with power without missing a beat.

I knew that 1st game was a hiccup and he'd be amazing soon enough & he's a monster on the mound next game!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💪😎👍

His pitches were a joy to watch.
He throws 95+ mph fastballs and ridiculous splitters with the ease of a play catch.
And wow, he's only 25, he's going to be a great pitcher.
