es genial ver cómo el autor de la novela llora de emoción tras ver su trabajo hecho película...y es increíble descubrir que el lugar en el que mantienen a los ciegos en la película era tal y como me lo había imaginado cuando la leí por primera vez! I watched the movie last week, and I must say I didn't know, before that, how it would be possible to make a film that would dignify such a masterpiece. Fernando Meirelles did it the simple way, being faithful to what José Saramago had imagined and creating an extraordinarily adequate visual atmosphere.

A todos estes comentários negativos sobre a obra cinematográfica, que vão a merda. Este é um dos poucos filmes dos quais podemos dizer que cumpriu a risca a premissa da novela, onde inclusive fala inteiras são transportadas do livro ao filme.
Óbvias as alterações, este é um filme de 2 horas e seria impossível manter-se coerente com um roteiro baseado em todas as 310 folhas do livro, ora porra. Precisaria-se de uma série de 2 temporadas para isto (Por deus, não). Então que se calem, pois é uma das melhores adaptações de um romance para telas de cinema.
(Que todos estes se contentem com erros de tradução do google de inglês para o Português, pois a complexidade de nossa língua que os enxugue. Hasta)
