Mike is just a straight up boss. You ever just look at people and just get that vibe that they're a boss? I also get that from Elliott Hulse. People will troll these guys on the Internet but shake their hands in person. I actually like videos like these more than workout videos. Love when people are dropping knowledge on life. It helps me become stronger mentality.

People have claimed he is a sellout etc.   I don't think sellouts can sit down and record themselves sending messages like this.   He obviously speaks from the heart and makes a whole lot of sense.   I questioned my motive behind my career after this video and came up with an answer.  This is comforting, because too often do we actually forget why it is we do what we do.   Sometimes we have to remember to not be "automatic" and instead, "have purpose".

I met Mike and CT at a veteran's event last year at MetroflexLBC. Mike spoke with myself and some other vets about taking the more difficult path and how training relates to everyday life. During the event there were two competitions, push ups and shrugs and I competed in both winning neither (I did shoulders the day before). CT "challenged" me by looking at me and saying "who else wants their ass kicked?" Never been pushed so hard on shrugs using 30lb dumbbells!! Mike truly gives back whenever he can. Since that day, I train my mind not my body in the gym. As Mike said, "eat right and the looks will come", SBSM!
